A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to non-existent email addresses under the same domain. For instance, an email message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can receive messages from acquaintances or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at some point you may start receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be received in a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Web Hosting

In case you host a domain on our cloud hosting platform and you have a cloud web hosting account, you’ll be able to activate the catch-all feature for any mailbox that you set up under the domain. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section offers quite a lot of features, but it is astonishingly easy to use, so creating a catch-all mailbox requires only a click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve set up will be listed in this section in alphabetical order and you will only have to click on the "Catch-all" button for the given email address. Our system will warn you if there is already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either disable the latter feature or choose a different mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as easy and requires yet another click on the very same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The in-house developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel that comes with each semi-dedicated server plan that we are offering will permit you to create a catch-all mailbox easily even in case you don’t have much web/email hosting experience. All you need to do to achieve that is click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right-hand side of each email address that you have set up using your domains in the Email Manager section of the Control Panel. Since you can have only one mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will inform you if you have already set up another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding activated. If you reach the decision that you don’t need the feature any longer, you can deactivate it by clicking once again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
